Affiliate Marketing Tips
Keyword Tips And Resources
For Clickbank Affiliate Marketers
I'm always happy to help any way I can with your promotion and marketing of the Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle ebook. If I can, I will always provide you with cut and paste sales copy, ezine ads, articles and other promotional tools
However, one thing you will definitely need to research and do primarily on your own is to come up with your own keywords for pay per click campaigns and for your web pages if you have a website.
What I can tell you is that our top keywords for the Burn The Fat program are "fat loss" and "Burn Fat" and variations of those two phrases. However, those are our top "search engine optimization" keywords, not necessarily our best Pay per click (google ad words, etc),
keywords.
As an affiliate marketer, Google Ad Words is still - despite the recent Google "slap" and other previous changes in Google Ad Words policies - one of the best ways to earn money as a clickbank affiliate. It's a little tricker than it used to be, but the "google cash" method still works.
Success with ad words depends largely on your ability to find the right keywords. When you have discovered keywords that convert well for you on PPC, I'd advise you not to share them because they are proprietary and they are one aspect of your campaigns that your competitors cannot see (they can see your websites and ads, but not your keywords).
That said, obviously I can't give you extensive lists of keywords, but because I want to help you earn more money as a Burn The Fat affiliate through clickbank, what I can do for you is recommend
some great resources for keyword research.
The first place you usually go is the Overture keyword search tool, which not only suggests additional related keywords but also the number of monthly searches on that keyword:

Next, you can also use the Google keyword tool that you can find inside your google ad words account
www.google.com/intl/en/ads/
Then there is word tracker. Word tracker has a trial
version but the paid version is most definitely
worth it: This is probably the most popular keyword tool among internet marketers.

There are numerous other freeTools online such as
www.kwmap.com
www.goodkeywords.com
In the paid services sector there are many software programs
that help with keyword research.
here are three examples:
Brad callens Keyword Elite
www.keywordelite.com
ad words analyzer by Jeff Alderson

Keyword Discovery

If you do a google search for "keyword tools", "keyword
suggestions," "keyword research" or "keyword software" you are likely to find
many more keyword research tools and resources like these. And by the way, don't forget good old-fashioned brainstorming with a pen and paper (mind-mapping is a great technique too).
The real secret to all this is to come up with your own keywords that everyone else is NOT bidding on.
A big mistake in Google ad words is bidding on the same keywords
that everyone else already thought of. You can make that work, but there's more competition and
its more expensive, which means less profit margin, especially as
an affiliate and not a product owner.
For example, if you bid on a common and well-known keyword like fat loss, that is my #1 keyword
and you can make it work, but then you are up against everyone
else.
If you bid on weight loss, that is so competitive that it's
not even cost effective for a $39 ebook marketing campaign.
Our most successful burn the fat affiliates have found
their own keyword phrases that are not highly competitive
and sometimes little known, and they like to keep it that way,
for obvious reasons, which again, is why I cannot actually give
you an extensive keyword list.
If I did, and I gave the same list to all affiliates, then soon enough they
too would become competitive and lose their profit capacity.
However, I DO give a sample of keyword suggestions in the articles
area. Be sure to take a look at the keyword lists for each
article - it might give you ideas for PPC:

The other secret is the quantity of keywords. Most affiliates
don't bid on enough keywords. There are exceptions, but generally,
the bigger your keyword list the better.
The popular keywords get high traffic but are competitive
and expensive
the lesser known keywords are not expensive
and not competitive, but there is less traffic
so then you depend on quantity.
Most Pay per click and google ad word campaigns simply do not have enough keywords. The most serious, most successful PPC
marketers I know do not think in terms of 20 keywords they think 200, or even 2,000.
One last thing -- perry marshall's ebook, 'the definitive guide to ad words' and chris carpenter's "Google cash"
are two of the best resources to begin with for general
ad words information:
